Pool Renovation around Noosa Heads
For a pool fence job in Noosa Heads the first question is which council the lot is in, because that decides who inspects the fence and what it costs. The Noosa Shire Council fees register lists the exemption application at $642, and says its fees are GST exempt unless otherwise specified.
The same shire-level fact holds for Noosaville, Tewantin, Sunshine Beach and Peregian Beach: no council source read for this site names a pool rule for any one of the five, so this page states it for the shire. The licence, electrical and warranty rules are the state's and apply everywhere.
Permits and Noosa Shire Council rules
Whether a pool renovation here needs a building approval is for a building certifier to say. Under the Building Regulation 2021, repairs, maintenance or alterations to an existing structure are generally self-assessable, unless they change its floor area or height, affect a structural component or affect its fire safety system, and alterations to the fencing of a regulated pool are carved out of that.
